In the third of three discussions with the leaders of Michigan's central and southern United Ways, soon to be merged to form the United Ways of South Central Michigan, Teresa Kmetz offers input from the Lansing, Michigan region.
Citing the ALICE report, along with the amplification of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kmetz echoes her colleagues in Jackson and Battle Creek/Kalamazoo in saying the merger will strengthen operational efforts. This, they expect, will have a direct effect on local impact efforts in their respective communities.
